Journey to South-America & Drama Games in Spanish

KS3 – year 7 and year 8

.

Exploring traditional music and dance through cultural expression from Spanish speaking countries such as Cuba and Mexico with storytelling and games.


Students will learn the dance steps to salsa – Cuba and rancheras – Mexico, with Celia Cruz and many other captivating singers. After the play and dancing, participants will learn Spanish vocabulary, improve listening and communication skills through drama games in Spanish like  “Me llamo” – acciones, HASH – emociones, Tormenta – partes del cuerpo and Escenificación – nombres de objetos.

Workshop details:

Facilitators: actor/dancer (live music with salsa musician also available)

Participants: up to 30

Duration:  from 1 hour duration.
