The best way to celebrate the 400 year anniversary of Cervantes.
Part 1: Drama techniques – Students will follow instructions through the use of repetitive words and sentences, thereby reinforcing their language skills. Collectively, students will also be encouraged create their own theatrical version of the extract.
Part 2: Devising (collaborative creation) – Pupils will devise episodes of the book in small groups, focusing on incorporating the games learnt in Spanish during the creative process. They will have fun acting out a comic version of four episodes.
These activities encourage the use of drama to provide focus and support for students, enabling them to use Spanish terminology from the story independently.
